2019 REUNION CONFERENCE and AGM – October 2019 – Hobart Tasmania

The 2019 reunion in Hobart is now fully planned for 18-20th October 2019, and only awaits your commitment and attendance.

Afghanistan 105th Battery Commemoration

A Commemoration of the 105th Battery deployment as 105 Troop RA/RAA will be held in Brisbane on 13th April 2019 at 12:30 hrs at the 105th battery RAA Museum, Gallipoli Barracks Enoggera,  and afterwards lunch in the Brisbane CBD.

This commemoration is the 1st operational round fired in Combat by the Battery/ Troop since the Vietnam War, and 2019 is the 10th Anniversary of the event.

All Members and friends are invited to attend.  To register your attendance and to facilitate access to Gallipoli Barracks, contact the Association Asst. Membership Representative, MAJ Khalid El Khaligi.

Binh Ba Battle 50th Anniversary Commemoration 6th June 2019

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Binh Ba, a highly significant event in the history of the battery’s second tour.  Planning is underway for a commemorative event in Canberra, which will most likely run along the following lines:

  • Date; Thursday 6 June 19.
  • 2pm Commemorative Ceremony at the Vietnam Memorial, Canberra
  • Post commemoration afternoon tea
  • 4.45pm Last post ceremony at AWM
  • Evening dinner

There is a need to assemble a list of potential attendees at the Canberra commemorations as quickly as possible.  Any Association member wishing to attend should, without delay, send Name, Email Address, Telephone, and Postal Address to Paul Stevens at Contact here

For those unable to attend the Canberra service, the Association will be holding its traditional annual commemoration in Brisbane on 6 June.  Members planning to attend this commemoration should notify Ted Robinson at Contact here
