105th Bty RAA Social Sports – 18th June 2021

The current Officers and Gunners of 105th Battery RAA invite the members of 105th Battery Association to a Social Sports afternoon on 18th June 2021 at Enoggera.  Details are as follows. .

This function will see the Battery in two groups conducting 2 separate and different activities concurrently;  both of which will be held in close proximity to each other at facilities at Pickering St, Enoggera Qld.  

  • 1st being bare foot lawn bowls, and
  • 2nd being X-Golf.

At the conclusion of the concurrent activities, both groups will head to the Gaythorne RSL for continued festivities.

This is a great opportunity for serving and ex serving members of 105th (Tiger) Battery to get together in a relaxed social atmosphere, share stories over a few cold drinks and of course a little friendly competition.

ANZAC Day 2021.

In 2021, Members can re-establish their 105th Battery RAA camaraderie  and friendships on Anzac day around Australia by contacting their local 105 Battery Association representative in the following locations.  Click on the name below of your area organiser.

The Brisbane City ANZAC Day Parade is now reinstated.  Form up In William Street City (runs parallel to the River past the Casino) at 10.30 hrs, NLT 10:45hrs.  Our Order of March Number is #40 which should be displayed on a board along William Street.  We march behind the 105th Bty RAA Ass’n Banner and 25Pr Gun and Tractor.  The Parade Route will be as traditionally marched, along George Street, down Adelaide Street past the Saluting Base at King George Square and the ANZAC Square Shrine of Remembrance, finishing at Cnr Creek and Elizabeth Streets Brisbane CBD.  A commemorative Boat Cruise is planned.  Details are as follows:
……….1230 hrs, board the Cruise Boat at the Gardens Point Wharf, a short walk from the March break-out area.  Wharf is at the East entrance to the City Botanical Gardens near Stamford Plaza behind the Old Naval Offices cnr Edward and Alice Streets Brisbane. Afghanistan Day 2021

The 9 April commemoration of the Operational Deployment of the 105th Battery Troop to Afghanistan has again been postponed in 2021 due to COVID travel restrictions.

Watch for the commemoration event in 2022.

Binh Ba Battle Commemoration 2021

With easing of COVID restrictions, the Commemoration of the Battle of Binh Ba is rescheduled to Monday 7th June 2021 at Noon.   Venue is as previously, at the Vietnamese Garden Restaurant West End, in Melbourne Street West End.  Fare is a Vietnamese Banquet; BYP.  Further details to be posted on this page when available.

2021 REUNION CONFERENCE and AGM  – (Tweed Heads)in planning

The 2021 reunion and AGM is presently being planned for Tweed Heads 15th to 17th October 2021.  Proposed venue is the Tweed Heads Bowls Club with accommodation at nearby Motels. 

As the arrangements are tentative due to the pandemic, further details will be posted on this website when available and in Tiger Rag Editions 55 and 56.
